YOU’RE WASTE-FREE. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
Our mission for Warehouse16 is to make it as sustainable as possible, and a way we’re doing that is making it a waste-free venue. This means that we ask you to please remove and take with you any rubbish created by your hire. We also encourage you to utilise our wine/champagne glasses, mugs, cups, plates, bowls, & cutlery for your hire and load them in the dishwasher as you pack up.
THERE’S A BIG ROLLER DOOR. CAN I HAVE IT OPEN?
The beauty of having a warehouse is we have a big roller door we can open up to bring all that natural light in! But what’s better than 1 roller door? TWO ROLLER DOORS! That’s right, we have two! The front roller door can be used to bring in any equipment you may need and can be left open for the duration of the hire after 5 pm as to respect our neighbour’s place of work. But the back roller door can be open to your convenience!
CAN I BRING MY FOOD?
Absolutely! We have a kitchenette with a fridge and freezer to keep your food cold and fresh. Microwave & water kettle, check! Plus, UberEats delivers here 😉 We also have the contact info for a mobile coffee van with fresh barista coffee and plenty of milk choices to cater to your event.
CAN I BRING ALCOHOL?
Alcohol consumption is permitted in accordance with relevant regulations. If you provide alcohol or permit alcohol to be consumed at your event, you do so at your own risk. The sale of liquor without a suitable license is illegal and therefore strictly prohibited in any venue. If you’re not selling alcohol you do not have to hold an RSA and if you wish to provide alcohol to your attendees you hold full responsibility.
IS IT SMOKE FRIENDLY?
Smoking is NOT permitted inside or at the front of the venue and courtyard. If you wish to smoke, please do so in the parking area.
There is space in front of the warehouse for the hirer to unload any equipment or furniture they wish to bring into the venue. After that, all cars are to be parked in the grassy parking area. A map of the parking area and where Warehouse 16 is located will be emailed to you in the booking confirmation. Parking rules are strictly enforced during weekday events during business hours. Please direct your attendees to park in the designated parking area so our warehouse neighbours are not disturbed. The parking area accommodates up to 100 vehicles.
There is a bus stop on Erindale road, just a 2-minute walk from Warehouse 16.
Who needs a babysitter? Bring your kids along and show them what their mumma or dadda does. Please remember that Warehouse 16 is not catered to the safety of children. If minors are to attend an event or workshop they are to be your full responsibility.
We love pooches but unfortunately, Warehouse 16 doesn’t… we ask that you please leave your fuzzy pets at home.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I ARRIVE?
Please arrive on the hour of your booking – not before – and please not after as this will cut into your time. When you arrive, a team member of Balance Tax Accountants will greet you and show you around the space. They will provide you with a check-in list and make sure you are familiar with our facilities.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I LEAVE?
At the end of your hire, a team member will be present at the warehouse for lock up and provide you with a check-out list. Premises must be vacated no later than 10:00 pm.
WHAT CAN I BRING?
You’re welcome to bring whatever you will need to run your workshop or event. This might include music equipment, jukeboxes, decorations, food, drinks, kitchenware, tables, chairs etc. Think of our space as a blank canvas to make your own!
WHAT WILL BE THERE?
The warehouse & courtyard has 20 chairs, 4 benches, and 10 stools. All up that is seating for 40 attendees. It also has 8 trestle tables 2.2 metres in length each. The courtyard is fitted with fairy lights to add ambiance to your evening event.
The boardroom has 3 trestle tables and 16 velvet chairs. 12 people can be seated comfortably with working space in front of them. Up to 16 can be seated around the board room table with space for a coffee or small plate. All seating in our venue is super comfortable!
There is a kitchenette with a fridge, freezer, microwave, water kettle, and a dishwasher, and 2 fully stocked bathrooms.
All bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking. If a cancellation occurs between the booking date and 48 hours of the event start time, 50% of the total amount paid will be refunded within 7 days. If a cancellation occurs less than 48 hours prior to the start of the event, 100% of the deposit is forfeited.
I MADE A BOOKING BUT HAVEN’T RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION EMAIL. WHAT DO I DO?
Once a hire application booking is received, Warehouse 16 will confirm the booking via email within seven working days. In the unusual event you do not receive a confirmation after seven working days, please contact us via email.
I WANT TO DO A WORKSHOP OR AN EVENT TODAY.
We love how eager you are but we ask for at least 48 hours notice to ensure everything for your hire is ready and all runs efficiently.
